PLP Systems has successfully completed and delivered its advanced gravimetric continuous weighing and dosing system: Mass Spin Flow. The system was fully engineered to meet the specific production needs of the customer, with a strong focus on dosing precision, proportional liquid inclusion, and operational reliability in dust-classified environments.

The oilseed industry demands precision to maximize yield and quality. This integrated weighing and dosing solution, supplied to one of the largest oil processing companies in Romania, is designed to overcome operational limitations, reliably handling high capacities up to 100 tons per hour.

HIGH-CAPACITY CONTINUOUS WEIGHING: MASS SPIN FLOW (MSF) TECHNOLOGY

The Mass Spin Flow (MSF) is the continuous mass flow meter selected for this project. Offering a superior alternative to standard gravimetric methods, the MSF guarantees instantaneous and high-accuracy measurement of the product mass flow.

• Measuring principle: The MSF system uses an integrated torsion sensor on the shaft and a processor of Coriolis force data to detect the mass flow rate.
• Industrial construction: The spinning module, driven by a gear motor, is constructed entirely of stainless steel for durability and hygiene.
• Controlled feeding: To optimize the MSF’s performance, the product flow is made constant by a Type “U” dosing screw feeder in AISI 304 stainless steel.

Safety Standards: components are suitable for installation in Atex 22 Cat 3D classified areas.

 PROPORTIONAL WATER DOSING SYSTEMS FOR THE SEED TREATMENT INDUSTRY

The liquid dosing system is precisely designed for the addition of water in a percentage from 2% to 4% of the total seed flow, a crucial process for pressing optimization. The liquid is dosed by a stainless steel dosing pump with a flow rate and is monitored by a Magnetic Flow Meter.

• Anti-Dripping spraying: Distribution is carried out by three special injection sprayers (type TLS 0,5). These stainless steel nozzles use a spring return pressure mechanism to avoid dripping and are self-cleaning, preventing clogging problems.
• Closed-loop control (TDR): The system features two “On line” moisture sensors utilizing TRIME RADAR (TDR Time domain reflectometry) technology. The detected data is used for the automatic control and adjustment of the dosing water percentage, ensuring a consistent final moisture level.

AUTOMATION, IN-LINE INSTALLATION AND INTEGRATION WITH EXISTING PLANT

The efficiency of the entire line is supervised by a centralized Electrical control panel.

• Intuitive Interface: The automation is managed via PLC and HMI, allowing real-time visualization of the instantaneous flow rate (e.g., g/m, ton/h) and the totalized values (kg, ton).
• Remote Assistance: For guaranteed uptime, the system is designed for remote assistance by Ethernet connection and the possibility of connecting to SCADA systems.
